Building Standards-Based Curriculum Units
with New Technologies

What kind of learning journey have we created for our students?

Evaluating Unit Plans

You should have a printed copy of an evaluation form available online at http://questioning/module/qualities.doc

From the list below, visit five unit plans aimed at your grade level and use the evaluation form to judge the quality of the plans. Some of the units are excellent. Some have questions that are not demanding enough. Some suffer from poor design.

It should take about one hour to do this well. Remember to think about the unit plan you will start this week and how it could be better than the ones you visit today. You will be asked to pick one of these projects to show to the group and explain what attributes set it apart.
