School Librarians -- Why we still need them!

In many school districts in the USA, Canada and other countries, poorly informed leaders have been eliminating properly trained school librarians entirely, assigning them to cover two or more schools or replacing them with uncertified aides. In this article, Jamie argues that this is a form of intellectual disarmament, especially given the challenges presented by an Age of Information along with social media and the proliferation of biased and unreliable sources.
